Privacy Policy

Study Sanctuary is designed to work locally on your device. We do not require an account, operate an advertising system, use third-party analytics, or sell personal information.

Information stored on your device

Study Sanctuary stores the profile name you choose, subjects, study plan, focus-session history, Focus Credit balance, unlocked room items, room choices, streaks, and badges on your device. The main app and its Screen Time extension use an Apple App Group to share only the information required to maintain an active focus session.

Screen Time and Family Controls

If you enable focus protection, Apple presents the Family Activity Picker. Your selections are provided to Study Sanctuary as privacy-preserving tokens. Study Sanctuary uses those tokens only to apply Screen Time shields during focus sessions. We do not receive or upload your Screen Time usage history, browsing history, or a readable list of the apps and websites represented by those tokens.

Screen Time authorization and focus protection are optional. The study timer remains available if you decline authorization. You can change your selected apps and websites from Profile > Profile & focus settings.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Study Sanctuary schedules a local notification on your device when a focus session ends. Notification information is not sent to the developer.

Data collection and sharing

Study Sanctuary does not transmit the app’s local study data or Screen Time selections to the developer or third parties. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Deleting your data

You can delete your profile, subjects, sessions, credits, purchases, room choices, achievements, and stored Screen Time selection from Profile > Profile & focus settings > Delete all local data. Removing the app also removes its app-local data according to iOS behavior.

Children’s privacy

Study Sanctuary does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users because it does not transmit personal information to the developer.

Changes to this policy

If Study Sanctuary later adds an account, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, or another feature that changes its data practices, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before that feature is released.
